Best wishes to our senior and U 21 Boat team . Today was the parade of nations, for the 1st time in our federations history the seniors got to walk our under 21 boat team with them , the craic was great as they made there way through the old town Albufera square, there was lots of happy screams form the Irish pubs and passer byes of ‘’OLE OLE OLE OLE ‘’ AND ‘’COME ON YOU BOYS IN GREEN ‘’ 💚💚💚💚😁😁😅😎.
Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday are the championships days .
Boats draw is available on fips m website.

Results Home Nations Shore, July 2022

Congratulations to the Mens team winning gold on English soil for the first time. Chris O’Sullivan, David O’Sullivan, JP Molloy, Stephen O’Donovan, Darren Ryan. The under 16s were very unlucky to miss out on gold, tied on match points of 30 each, on count back it came down to two fish points! Shane O’Neill, Nathan De Kleer, Liam Davis, Billy Gilvarry, Cameron Gilbert.

The under 21s won silver. Cian Corcoran, Bradley Kirwan, Finnian McCarthy, Noah Tahran, Eoin Foley. The women unfortunately did not have a good event and after a promising day 1 and had to settle for 4th. Ava Marshall, Janet Snoddy, Liz McMahon, Rosealeene Murphy, Kaitlyn De Kleer.

Well done again to the anglers, the managers/coaches, the parents and sponsors who all made this happen.

Tight lines to the Team Ireland U16s, U21s, Mens and Women teams at the famous Chesil beach – Weymouth on the south coast of England. There to compete in the Home Nations Shore Championships 2022, against England, Scotland and Wales. Safe travels to the teams, managers and parents.

Our Team : Padraic Clear , Graham Garvey, Corney Devlin, Dan lynch , Pat Condon, Liam Ocallaghan and Manager David Mc Cormick are angling at Milford Haven in Wales to compete for the 2022 Home Nations Boat championships and defending our 2 year winning streak and looking for the Ultimate 3 in a row 🎣💚☘️🤞.

Micheál Quinn RIP

It is with regret that we learned of the passing of one of our long standing members of the Federation Micheal Quinn.
Micheal was chairman of our Federation back in 2015 and was one of the people who worked to establish what we now have is the ACI.
He also served time in many other Officer positions and was also a member of the 2018 World Masters Shore Team, the last team that traveled to Portugal and were placed joint 5th with Germany.
He will be sadly missed in angling circles and our condolences go to his family. Mick always had a smile on his face and was always keen to help other anglers. He will be missed by all who knew him. ‘
May he rest in peace ❤️

Shore Master Angler 2021, Ulster, 20/21 Nov.

Congratulations to Raymond McCann & Lisa Gormley on winning their Master Angler sections for 2021, they are both now automatically on the World shore team for 2023.

In fiercely cold conditions with driving northerlies and slow fishing at times the cream rose to the top. The Glengormley and District SAC anglers brought their local knowledge to the fore. The first session was on Benone strand, then the night session was at Portrush and finally the third session on the western end of Benone. Raymond was Mr. Consistency with three 2nds over three legs. Lisa had a 2nd, a 3rd and saved the best for last with a first.

In a good day for the club Tommy Carnegie claimed 5th in the Mens section. Those finishing in the top 22 qualified for the world team fish offs, also due to take place in Ulster in early 2022. Well done to all the volunteers, stewards and the Ulster Provincial Council on a well run event.
