/in News /by Brian ReidyCongratulations to Raymond McCann & Lisa Gormley on winning their Master Angler sections for 2021, they are both now automatically on the World shore team for 2023.
In fiercely cold conditions with driving northerlies and slow fishing at times the cream rose to the top. The Glengormley and District SAC anglers brought their local knowledge to the fore. The first session was on Benone strand, then the night session was at Portrush and finally the third session on the western end of Benone. Raymond was Mr. Consistency with three 2nds over three legs. Lisa had a 2nd, a 3rd and saved the best for last with a first.
In a good day for the club Tommy Carnegie claimed 5th in the Mens section. Those finishing in the top 22 qualified for the world team fish offs, also due to take place in Ulster in early 2022. Well done to all the volunteers, stewards and the Ulster Provincial Council on a well run event.
